Fall Photos at Hidden Oaks in Bolingbrook, IL
It was a cold day to take photos, I mean very cold. Temps in the low 30s and 20+ mph winds so conditions very less than ideal. but that did not discourage Christa, Shane along with their son/stepson William and I from having fun during their portrait session. Shane and Christa are the couple I met at the Pirate Pub Crawl years ago when I captures Shane’s surprise proposal. (see my 1st blog post) Every year in the same general area the proposal happened, I take photos of them during the event but this year Christa contacted me asking for a fall portrait session. I originally wanted to take the photos at Hidden Lakes Trout Farm but realized that it is temporary closed. I also realized that along the entrance road to Hidden Lakes is Hidden Oaks Nature Center which while lacking the water features I was hoping to incorporate was still just as scenic. Abundant with trees and easily accessible trails made finding the right spot for photos a simple endeavor. While we were cold I think the photos show how much fun we still were able to have. I think Hidden Oaks is going on my list of photos spots for future portrait sessions.
